What you’ll do :
Reporting to the Food Division Manager, the Deli Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the deli departments in the Morden and Winkler Food Stores. You will establish short-term strategies, goals, and objectives for the department in alignment with the food division strategic plan. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent and profitable operations with the goal of continually improving operations. You will manage relationships with vendors, coach team members, provide day to day direction and guidance, including performance management, training, and development. You will ensure adherence to all regulations, company policies, health and safety, food safe procedures, and loss prevention policies and procedures.

- Are experienced with Food Safe protocol and have experience working in a restaurant kitchen or deli.
- Able to perform the daily activities of the deli, including food preparation, customer service, housekeeping.
- Are an excellent communicator, with ability to consistently deliver on key company messaging (written or verbal).
- Have intermediate or higher computer skills, with a strong understanding of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Are proficient and timely with administrative tasks.
- Can stand for extended periods of time and / or extensive walking, can lift up-to 50 lbs.
- Have a valid class 5 driver’s license.
- 5 or more years experience in retail management preferred.
