Payroll Specialist

If you're knowledgeable in Canadian payroll (specifically Ontario), experienced in managing both union and non-union payroll, and familiar with U.S. payroll operations—this opportunity is perfect for you!Responsibilities : Canadian Payroll :  Oversee and process full-cycle payroll for Canadian employees, ensuring compliance with Ontario regulations.Union & Non-Union Payroll :  Manage payroll for both unionized and non-unionized teams on weekly and bi-weekly schedules.U.S. Payroll :  Handle payroll for U.S. employees while adhering to relevant laws and regulations.Tools & Systems :  Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now and maintain accurate records.Reporting & Analysis :  Use Microsoft Excel for reporting, audits, reconciliations, and data analysis to support payroll and HR workflows.Compliance :  Ensure all payroll activities adhere to tax laws, payroll regulations, and collective agreements, keeping accurate employee records.Qualifications :

• PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or similar designation is required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience in a Canadian business, particularly within Ontario.
• Knowledge and experience processing payroll for both union and non-union environments.
• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
• Proven experience with both weekly and bi-weekly pay cycles.
• U.S. payroll experience is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
