JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Mechanical Technician maintains, services, and modifies all machinery in the plant.
JOB TASKS:
- Reviews daily Work Order assignments; plans, organizes, executes, and documents scheduled work
- Communicates planned activities and commitments daily at department board meetings
- Performs PM and PdM tasks as scheduled; generates Work Orders for items identified as requiring attention outside the PM or PdM
- Verifies that PM tasks address failure modes; recommends changes as part of continuous improvement
- Documents in the Work Order system all activities completed for equipment and building assets
- Maintains assigned tools and instruments in good working order
- Reviews the condition of assigned equipment on a daily and weekly basis
- Performs Standby duties as scheduled
- Perform repairs to the machinery as required.

- Ability to lift items of 40 lbs and perform duties involving reaching, standing, crouching, bending, stair/ladder climbing, and sustaining static positions
REQUIRMENTS:
- Industrial Mechanic Red Seal License
- 3rd or 4th year apprentices will be considered for the role
PREFFERED:
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Welding/fabrication experience
- Machining experience
- Rigging experience
- Forklift License
- Fall Arrest Certification
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, email, and electronic Work Order systems
