Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Handle shopping and errands
• Assist with medication reminders
• Assist with ambulation and transporting clients
• Provide companionship
• Follow care plans
• Document and chart care activities

Qualifications

• Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign‑trained nurse, nursing student)
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
• Negative TB skin test or chest X‑ray
• Ability to travel within the service area
• Access to Internet and mobile phone
