We’re Raise, and we’ve joined forces with our client an international company with 40 years of experience designing, manufacturing, and delivering bulk material handling equipment to their clients within the aggregate, mining, recycling, rail, industrial, ports & terminals sectors. Their mission is to equip their clients with the tools to handle bulk materials and the solutions to help them “move” their business.

Sales Territory Manager

As the new Sales / Territory Manager, you’ll manage existing dealer relationships, establish new dealer representation, and directly manage customers. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing annual sales strategies, and ensuring clients and dealers are up to date on product revisions, new products, and solutions. You’ll prospect new business, travel to visit customers, and attend trade shows and events.

You’ll leverage your extensive sales experience in the heavy industrial equipment sector, coupled with your exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing dealer network
  • Manage direct customers without dealership representation in the territory until dealer representation is established (if deemed necessary)
  • Establish dealer representation with reputable companies (if deemed necessary) in states that have greater sales potential and no current relationships in place for various industries and applications
  • Develop and implement an annual strategy that accomplishes the sales goals set out
  • Visit dealers within the central USA territory, focusing on customer visits
  • Ensure that dealers are up-to-date on all revisions and upgrades to existing products as well as the addition of new products implemented
  • Design 60-day (provided every 30 days) high-level travel plans that include visiting existing customers, prospecting customers, tradeshow events and dealers within the central USA territory
  • Document and follow up on all sales calls, sales visits, dealer visits, and service requests
  • Analyzing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development
  • Provide customers and dealers in new markets with presentations regarding the benefits of telescopic technology as well as new technologies and innovations
  • Attend trade show events that target high-potential new industries within the prescribed territory
  • The Details :

    This is a full-time, permanent position based in Southern Ontario. You have the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid role if you are located near the Head Office in Mississauga, ON. You’ll work Monday to Friday and will be required to travel to the Central USA to visit clients and potential clients approximately twice a month, totaling around two weeks of travel each month.

    Their compensation package includes a base salary of $80,000.00 per year, complemented by a lucrative commission plan (commensurate with experience). On average, Sales Territory Managers typically earn between $110,000.00 and $190,000.00 annually. Additionally, they offer a comprehensive benefits plan, vacation, and an RSP matching plan.

    Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a sales role within the heavy industrial equipment sector
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to forge strong relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Possession of a valid passport and the ability to travel to the Central USA for client visits
