Job description

PTW is hiring a Prep Labourer for work in our Calgary fabrication facility. If you are available, we want to hear from you!

GOOD TO KNOW

Monday-Friday shift with opportunities to work weekends for extra overtime
8-10 hour days
Day and night shift available

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

Produce components that meet established quality, design, and customer specifications.

Set up and operate cutting, trimming, and notching machines, including installing blades and dies.

Adjust machine settings such as pressure, speed, feed rate, guides, and stops.

Measure, mark, and verify workpieces using templates and measuring devices.

Load, position, and secure materials manually or with hoists.

Perform cutting, slotting, grooving, mitering, and trimming operations.

Inspect finished parts for accuracy and compliance.

Maintain daily housekeeping and follow all health and safety regulations.

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

Experience Requirements

Minimum one year of experience in a related field required; post-secondary or industry welding courses are an asset.

Strong understanding of production processes and procedures

Commitment to health and safety regulations

High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Effective teamwork and clear communication skills

Possesses the ability to read both Metric and Imperial measurements.

Other Requirements

Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation.

Must supply basic hand tools.

Must have CSA approved steel-toed boots.
