Our Client in Burnaby is seeking a strong technical broker to work closely with the Producer and accompany them to client visits to help them build out a new division.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get in on the ground up with a new area within a strong established brokerage.
Ideally you have :
- Minimum 7 years experience placing insurance programs for construction clients.
- Must understand how to assess, structure, market, and place insurance programs for developers and construction industry entities.
Responsibilities include :
- Mentor junior staff and help build out a construction team.
- Be market facing lead on submission development, strategies, negotiating rate, and coverages.
- Setup internal processes, forms, and procedures for servicing clients.
- Be lead on performing wordings gap analysis.
- Supporting producers with presentations to clients and prospects on coverage recommendations and marketing results.
- Attending client and prospect events hosted by brokerage.
- Co-collaborating on developing marketing materials targeted at industry prospects.
- Be lead on developing value added risk service for clients; in house & external.
- Ensuring internal compliance and documentation for E&O purposes.
- Brokerage lead for insurance market facing events related to construction.
- Overseeing support staff on day to day client needs.
Salary up to $225,000 depending on experience
