Job description

About the Opportunity

  • Oversee the timely payment of all Invoices, Disbursements and Out of pocket expenses.

Manage contracts development & contracts reconciliation, confirming payment in line with contract before payment.

Handle all vendor and staff inquiries.

Manage the tracking of all payments and expenditures.

Lead the maintenance of Vendors in ERP and Vendor Bank accounts confirmation.

Lead the Monthly AP subledger reconciliation.

Collaborate during Month-end close and Year-end audit, i.e., entries, schedules, reconciliations.

Perform monthly account analysis and manage HST & VAT rebate claims and self-assessment.

In adherence with Policy, drive ERP direction of invoices and processing.

Ensure internal controls implementation and operationalization.

Complete policies & process updates and documentation.

Maintain up-to-date task lists for each direct report, ensure cross-training and back-up for all critical tasks.

Complete all Performance management of direct reports.

Maintain onboarding manual for team and all staff.

Perform critical tasks in absence of Accounting Lead or Systems Accounting Lead.

About You

7+ years of accounting experience with a of minimum 3 years’ experience as a people manager.

Successfully completed CPA, CGA or CMA designation.

Strong knowledge of Canadian statutory requirements for charity / foundation organizations.

Strong analytical and strategic-thinking skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of large ERP systems is an asset

Experience developing a strong team through coaching, goal setting, mentoring, and establishing service standards.

Possess a roll-up your sleeves attitude to become part of and lead a team of three Accounts Payable Partners.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships.

Drives a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Proven track record of successful multitasking and providing accurate and timely payments.

Brings a customer-service attitude and instils in the AP team.

Takes initiative to keep abreast of issues related to accounting operations in general.

Keen attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

French language and / or local language skills are an asset.

Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.

Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate information to a variety of constituents across cultures.

Possess professional maturity, sensitivity with different cultures, and impeccable integrity.

Pay Range

60 - $70 / hour
