In accordance with established vision and values of Northern Health and as an integral member of the team delivering Public Health services, the Licensing Officer provides service delivery within the framework of the public health / health protection model. This position monitors licensed care facilities to ensure that persons in care are safe, their health is being promoted, and their dignity is maintained. The Licensing Officer collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, health care professionals, and other health authority staff and stakeholders to achieve excellence in licensed child and residential care. They promote quality and continuous improvement and support the goals of Northern Health and Health Protection. The Licensing Officer is responsible for assessing risk to the health and safety of children, youth, and adults in care pursuant to the Community Care and Assisted Living Act, the Child Care Licensing Regulation, and the Residential Care Regulations.
Shift Rotation / Hours of work : Monday to Friday, Days - 08 : 00 to 16 : 00
