Oilfield PDC Drill Bit Repair Technician

We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail‑oriented, and motivated individual to join our Nisku, AB team as a Oilfield PDC Drill Bit Repair Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and timely delivery of drilling tools by performing high‑quality inspections, repairs, and maintenance of PDC (polycrystalline diamond compact) drill bits in accordance with customer and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspecting and repairing PDC (polycrystalline diamond compact) drill bits. Duties include detailed visual and dimensional inspections, brazing, blade, pocket and body repair, hard-facing, grinding, and final finishing to meet customer and industry specifications.
• The technician documents repair processes, maintains quality control standards, and follows all safety and operational procedures while working with specialized tools and equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts, failures and work-in process.
• Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
