We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.## Your role Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management.* Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry and prepare design documents and compile engineering packages.* Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs using ANSYS, SAP2000, ACS SASSI and other structural programs.* Ensure Compliance with applicable Codes, Standards and Regulations, and ensuring the adequacy of design for permits and compliance with approved plans.* Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design.* Prepare technical specification documents.* Accountable for the delivering all engineering deliverables / task to achieve project objectives within specified timelines and budgets.* Provide technical instructions to Junior staff or designers to develop engineering documentation.* Review and comment on the work performed by the others to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and design documentation.* Check the work performed meets the quality requirements in accordance with Company QA programs and manuals.* Participate in formal engineering design and other reviews as may be mandated for the design changes in question.* Prepare Engineering estimate and technical write-up for proposals.* Perform plant walkdowns as and if required in support of design requirements definition and detailed engineering of design modifications.## About you Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University. Master's degree and above is an asset.* Must be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada. Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.* Minimum 12 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures.* Would prefer someone with 3 to 5 years of design experience in Nuclear Power Plants.* Deep and thorough understanding of structural engineering gained through a combination of design-office and site experience.* Thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil / Structural engineering.* Thorough knowledge of use of Analysis software commonly used in Civil / Structural engineering such as ANSYS, SAP2000, ETABS, etc.* Must have experience with static, dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations.* Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines, procedures and practices is preferable.* Adequate knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset.* Knowledge of modification process of Nuclear Power Plant; ECC process or similar is an asset.* Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.* Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget.* Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).* Travel to client site may be required.## Rewards & benefits Explore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive – at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.Enjoy competitive compensation, employee recognition, and a brilliant range of flexible benefits you can tailor to your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle needs.Make the most of diverse opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills and expertise.And take advantage of our hybrid working culture and generous time-off policies to balance a fulfilling career with your personal life.## About AtkinsRéalis We're , a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization.
