Structural Designer

Join a team of forward thinking, enthusiastic, results-driven and collaborative professionals. To support our mission we are currently seeking an experienced Structural Design  to join our team in Vancouver.

The role will require but not be limited to :

• Structural steel and concrete design 3D modelling and detailed drawings from conceptual sketches through to detailed design, under direction of engineers or a supervising design drafter
• Ensuring processes are checked, reviewed and completed. Reviewing of designs to ensure accuracy and compliance in line with CSA / International and Sedgman code Standards
• Support the continuous improvement of design systems used by the organisation and investigate new drafting techniques and drafting equipment and recommend changes to standard practices
• Participate in the review of designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or government compliance requirements as appropriate
• Ensure project time and cost KPI’s are met - monitor effectiveness of designs, scheduling of work, resource requirements and review compliance with project execution plan (schedule) and client expectations.

Salary range in BC : $65,000-85,000

The salary offered to the successful person for this position will consider education, experience, relevant skills and capability, geographic location and market conditions at the time of hire.
