Job description

This is a 6 months contract located in Toronto / Ontario, Hybrid(for the first 2 weeks of classroom training session 5 days in office).

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Clerk

Education

Minimum post‑secondary education, Commerce or Business Administration degree is a requirement; specialization in accounting or finance is preferred.

Must haves

  • Read and understand financial statements
  • GAAP knowledge
  • Some experience working in accounting or finance related role
  • MS office
  • Bilingual (French and English)

Job Requirements

  • Read and understand company‑prepared financial statements (notice to reader, review engagement, and audited).
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft desktop software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work in a high‑pressure environment while ensuring work is of high quality
  • Problem‑solving ability
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Work experience in accounting or finance
  • Bilingual in French (reading and understanding – intermediate to advanced, writing – novice to intermediate, speaking – novice to intermediate)
