Reporting directly to the Manager, Continuous Improvement and Inventory Management, the Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for inventory management and supports procurement for all MediSystem locations nationally for products dispensed.
The inventory specialist is responsible for developing and implementing inventory management policies, processes and procedures based on industry standard methodologies.
They will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring purchase and inventory trends to ensure overall goals in service levels, actively finding opportunities for improvements and enabling standardization across all operational sites.
What you'll do :
Responsible to develop and maintain inventory management policies, process and procedures based on industry standard methodologies
Responsible for implementation of inventory management system to all MediSystem locations nationally and supporting maintenance
Monitors and analyzes purchase and inventory trends, inventory investment and returns revenue to ensure overall goals in service level and other key performance indicators are achieved
Manages the relationship with Inventory and Procurement teams to provide effective communication of changes to purchase habits as well as resolutions to product shortages, damages, long-term unavailability and discontinued.
Reviews clinical and operations initiatives to determine inventory needs, taking into account current on hand inventory and the required lead times to ensure MediSystem locations can complete initiatives
Analyzes sales and inventory data to determine optimal purchasing practices as well as identify and recommend opportunities for preferred listing agreements and other revenue driven purchasing strategies
Acts as Inventory Management process owner and actively support projects / initiatives that impact Inventory Management
Actively seeks out opportunities for improvement within the scope of Inventory Management to meet performance, quality and financial targets
Partners with operational sites and other teams to ensure effective resolution of all inventory related issues
Might require travel for on-site support

What you bring :
University Degree with 3-5 years in inventory and supply chain management
Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively source information, obtain approvals, build relationships, and provide sufficient influence to achieve success
Creative problem solver and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with a high degree of detail and accuracy while adapting to multiple priorities
Strong skills of MS Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
