Salary : $17.50 - $18.50 per hour

About the Role :

We are hiring a skilled and passionate Baker on behalf of our client in Ontario. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

Baking & Production :

  • Prepare and bake bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all bakery products.
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters.

Food Safety & Hygiene :

  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Monitor ingredient freshness and storage to prevent spoilage.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.

    • Inventory & Stock Management :

  • Monitor inventory levels and request supplies as needed.
  • Minimize waste by efficiently managing ingredients and portioning.

    • Creativity & Innovation :

  • Develop new recipes and product variations to enhance the menu.
  • Experiment with flavors and techniques to meet customer demands.

    • Work Schedule :

  • 8-hour shifts (Early Morning, Day, Evening)
  • Monday to Friday, with weekend availability

    • Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • For candidates inside Canada : Minimum of 6 months of baking experience
  • For candidates outside Canada : Minimum of 3 years of baking experience and must be Francophone (fluent in both French and English)
  • English proficiency with CLB 6 minimum
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
  • Attention to detail and creativity in baking
