TCP / Labourer

TCP / Labourer role at Dawson Group in Carnaby, BC. Seasonal $29.70 / hour. Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for Traffic Control People / Labours, who have a good knowledge of safety around equipment, an eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a temporary, full-time position of Traffic Controller and Labourer reporting to the Road Foreman. We are currently hiring in Carnaby, B.C. and may require some travel throughout our great province.

What Success Looks Like

• Must prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job
• Work collaboratively with all team members to successfully complete tasks at hand
• Ability to perform unskilled manual work requiring little previous training or experience but involving physical effort
• Operate heavy equipment in all weather conditions, on public roadways in a safe and appropriate manner
• Follow direction of the Supervisor regarding daily production schedule and activities
• Maintains a daily activity of work in progress and status of completion
• Maintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment
• Complete all work reports and maintenance logs
• Stop, slow, and safely direct traffic through work or construction sites
• Give traffic control directions and signals clearly and precisely so that motorists understand their meaning
• Keep the flow of traffic moving with as few delays as possible
