Position : Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location : Peterborough ON – Manufacturing Facility

Key Responsibilities

• Champion productivity initiatives across the plant by driving waste reduction, improving line efficiency, and identifying opportunities for operational cost savings.
• Enhance equipment and production line reliability, collaborating closely with the Engineering team to prepare business cases and proposals for capital upgrades to machinery and facility infrastructure.
• Utilize continuous improvement methodologies—such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, FMEA—and advanced statistical / process control tools to analyze performance gaps, implement corrective actions, and measure post-implementation impact.
• Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions to resolve recurring issues and prevent future operational disruptions.
• Support the Business Unit’s agile teams by acting as Scrum Master, ensuring productivity-related features, sprints, and stories are properly executed and tracked.
• Manage administrative aspects of productivity programs, including updating and maintaining active projects within the company’s Global Powersteering system.
• Maintain and update the three-year productivity roadmap for your assigned production area, ensuring alignment with plant and corporate objectives.
• Lead improvements within Environmental Health & Safety programs as the designated owner for specific safety initiatives and processes.
