JOB TITLE : Service Technician
Job Duties :
In a timely and efficient manner, perform duties required to maintain a quality service outlet for the repair of equipment.
Maximize productivity within Repair Operations while delivering high quality, timely repairs of tools and enhancing the value-added image associated with owning a tool.
Contribute to the Company's financial success through COGS control, process improvement, and cost containment throughout the repair process.
Provide best-in-class tool repair service in support of Lifetime Service value proposition.

Competency - We are committed to excellence in innovation, total quality, direct customer relationships and effective marketing.Maintain superior technical knowledge and skills through continuous professional development by studying and reviewing on-line repair manuals, schematics, and technical filesPerform high quality repairs to products through proper problem diagnosis and application of prescribed corrective measures while utilizing appropriate tools and systemsUse hand scanners to receive, diagnose, pick spare parts, repair, and complete the repair of toolsConduct final functional and safety testing after every repair to ensure customer safetyThrough continuous inventory, accurate picking of spare parts, and identifying and increasing inadequate safety stock levels, assist in maintaining adequate parts inventory and ensuring best[1]in-class repair service to customersAssist Senior Repair Technician in maintaining rapport and communication through daily contact with customers and / or sales personnelTravel to participate in Tool Repair Workbench Summits to assist with benchmarking repairs, reducing cost of goods sold, and standardizing repairs throughout the repair networkProvide data and information to quality and product managers that are used to identify potential improvements to the overall quality and safety of toolsMaintain work areas, tools, and assigned equipment in a proper, organized order thus enabling the incumbent to perform the job in a timely, safe, and efficient mannerFollow company policies, procedures, and rulesFollow and abide to the company's culture, values, and principlesPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorAdverse Work Conditions :
Workshop environment subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particlesMust have the ability to use hand tools and equipment to disassemble and assemble power toolsSafety Equipment Required :
Must observe and abide by all safety regulations as required by Hilti and Occupational Health and Safety Standards (OSHA)Must wear steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety vest, and other safety equipment, as required, when working in the facility and / or operating machineryPhysical Requirements :
Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.Stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive reaching, bending, and climbing.Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours daily while performing tool repairs at workstationSkills :
Experience in mechanical or electrical repairs
Experience using Windows applications preferred
Education :
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience required
