Job description

Scope of the position :

Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, the PurchasingAdministrator will be responsible in providing support to the purchasing andpricing departments for HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies.

Primarily you will be the liaison between Sales, Purchasing,and our Suppliers.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Purchasing tasks :

  • Newparts set up including description and costing
  • Obtainingconfirmations from suppliers and updating relevant Purchase Order information
  • UpdatingPurchase Order ETA’s and advising based on branch requests
  • Non-WarrantyInventory Returns to suppliers as required
  • Assistingon Purchase Order discrepancies, working closely with Suppliers to makecorrections
  • Assistingsales by creating stock transfers by request
  • Followingup on backorders and communicating to sales when requested
  • Providepurchasing vacation secondary coverage
  • Runningdaily company stock replenishment transfers
  • Pricingentry and departmental back-up
  • Warrantydepartment back-up
  • Otherduties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Organized,with good attention to detail and time management in a multitasking role
  • Independentand creative solution finder
  • Strongwritten and verbal communicator
  • 2 years’ experience in a wholesale purchasing rolepreferably in the HVAC / R industry is an asset
  • Experience with computerized purchasing and inventorysystems
  • Possessstrong Excel / Microsoft Office abilities
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions
  • Strong motivation and initiative
  • Attention to detail in typing and proofing materials,establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses timeefficiently
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work toensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance
  • Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timelymanner
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competingdemands, able to excel under pressure and adapt to change and capable ofdealing with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
