Job description

West Fraser's Woodlands Team at our North Central Division is currently recruiting for a highly motivated, professional Management Forester. This full‑time role plays a key part in strategic and operational forest management planning.

You’ll Do

  • Support development and implementation of the Detailed Forest Management Plan
  • Execute Growth & Yield monitoring programs
  • Prepare and submit FRIAA projects and reports
  • Participate in Caribou and Subregional Plan development
  • Liaise with Alberta government and stakeholders
  • Track and report timber production
  • Administer land use activities

You Have

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Career‑minded and highly motivated
  • Proficient in GIS and analytical tools
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • RPF or RPFT designation (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Assets

  • 3–5+ years of relevant forestry experience preferred
