    • Clean teeth
    • Diagnose dental diseases
    • Examine patients' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue
    • Hire and train staff
    • Instruct patients on oral hygiene
    • Plan dental health treatment
    • Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth
    • Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments
    • Supervise staff
    • Design bridgework, fit dentures and provide appliances
    • Write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for use by denturists and dental technicians
    • Act as consultants to other dentists
    • Knowledge of licensing regulations
    • Consult with government regulatory and licensing agencies to ensure conformance to provincial standards
    • Fabricate and repair crowns, bridges or implants
    • Supervision
