The AWCC Support position is required to perform a variety of duties. The first priority is to process reports of wildfires reported via the emergency 310-FIRE telephone line. In addition, they are responsible for general reception calls, completing data entry, posting reports to the website, and supporting the various wildfire operations daily activities.
Responsibilities included within this role :
Answering the 310-FIRE line and transferring the call to the appropriate Forest Area. In addition, the call will need to be entered into the FIRES / or Dispatch application.Answering incoming phones calls to the AWCC room. Calls will need to be directed to the appropriate person and / or information provided to the caller if the call is of a general nature.Assist with logistical requirements as required by AWCC Logistics i.e. transportation, lodgings, and food.Completing daily updates to the Wildfire Management website.General office and administrative duties.Be available for export to other Areas and / or out of province.
