Job description

Job Summary :

This role requires a full-stack Oracle developer specializing in APEX and PL / SQL with experience in other Oracle development tools like ODI and relational databases. The IT Consultant will partner with clients, advising on information technology to meet business objectives, improve I&IT systems' structure and efficiency, and provide strategic guidance on information management, IT infrastructure, and business process enablement through IT enhancements. The consultant will act as a technical expert, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. This includes defining project scope, requirements, software / hardware needs, analyzing I&IT requirements, designing, testing, installing, and monitoring new systems, and developing high-quality documentation.

Location : Ontario, Canada

Responsibilities :

  • Provide full-stack Oracle development services, specializing in APEX and PL / SQL.
  • Utilize other Oracle development tools such as ODI and relational databases.
  • Advise clients on information technology to achieve business objectives.
  • Improve the structure and efficiency of an organization's I&IT systems.
  • Provide strategic guidance on information management, IT infrastructure, and business process enablement.
  • Offer subject matter expertise and highly expert technical assistance.
  • Act as the technical advisor / expert on all aspects of specific deliverables.
  • Ensure quality assurance / quality control of deliverables.
  • Anticipate and resolve problems to ensure deliverables are completed within budget and to the highest quality.
  • Develop processes and procedures for implementing deliverables.
  • Prepare reports and presentations, including options, recommendations, and implementation plans.
  • Work with clients to define project scope and determine requirements.
  • Define software, hardware, and network requirements.
  • Analyze I&IT requirements and provide objective advice on I&IT use.
  • Design, test, install, and monitor new systems and develop solutions.
  • Implement new systems and be familiar with change-management principles and methodology.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.

Required Skills & Certifications :

  • At least five years of experience developing and maintaining ETL solutions.
  • At least two years of experience using ODI as the ETL tool for loading and extracting data from Essbase cubes.
  • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Hyperion Planning (Oracle EPM) software stack.
  • Some experience installing Hyperion Planning 11.2.
  • At least three years of dedicated infrastructure experience (or equivalent across a longer time period).
  • Demonstrated experience installing and configuring EPM to work in an OAM single-sign-on configuration.
  • Demonstrated experience managing software and infrastructure components in Linux and Windows Server environments.
  • Demonstrated experience installing and configuring WordPress in a Linux load-balanced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing network components in a complex, load-balanced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in loading and extracting data from Hyperion applications using a large number of Plan Types.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a load-balanced, highly available hardware and software configuration.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Planning infrastructure deployed across the internet to 1000+ users, supporting a variety of desktop software and browsers.
  • Demonstrated experience working with applications exposed to external access via a Proxy Server.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, specifying, and implementing complex computing platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience developing high-quality documentation of complex infrastructure implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data center staff to manage a complex platform extending across multiple operating systems and integrating multiple application development tools.
