Position purpose:
Supervises the day-to-day activities of assigned field area operations to ensure production and safety targets and operational requirements are achieved.
Overview-Job Family:
Positions in this job Family are responsible for recovering, producing and distributing oil and gas from land-based wells to optimize production from a given field. Activities include planning, monitoring and testing production volumes; regulating pressure and flow; and designing, installing, operating and maintain well production equipment such as compressors, injection pumps, batteries, boilers, centrifugal desanders and chemical injection equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees daytoday operational activities for operations staff, service providers, and onsite contractors, including work assignment and scheduling, monitoring performance and work quality, ensuring adherence to operational, corporate, and HSE standards, resolving issues, and providing technical guidance.
- Ensures field operations and facility activities are properly scheduled and completed, coordinating safe and timely execution of maintenance, runtime, commissioning, startup, and turnaround activities. Reviews and approves work, validates daily production measurements, troubleshoots issues, and prepares incident and operational reports, ensuring followthrough on all action items.
- Monitors operational and safety performance targets and manages budget stewardship, including evaluating OPEX trends, identifying areas requiring escalation, and preparing required reports.
- Builds effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs, resolve issues, share information, and identify opportunities to improve operational results.
- Identifies and recommends opportunities to improve field operations, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency by evaluating performance gaps, analyzing production data and well schematics, identifying trends, and advising management on corrective strategies.
- Leads processimprovement initiatives and ensures completion of preventative maintenance programs, managing project deliverables, timelines, resources, and budgets while resolving issues and providing progress updates.
- Provides training and mentorship to operations staff within the assigned area to support corporate competency development.
Qualifications:
Education Level:
- -Post Secondary Diploma (Pref)
- -High School Diploma (Req)
Work Experience:
5 or more years prior relevant experience
