Registered Social Worker

Calian Advanced Technologies is seeking a registered social worker to provide exceptional mental health services to Canadian Armed Forces members at the Petawawa Outpatient Clinic.

This full-time position requires 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday during daytime hours. Competitive salary, paid vacation, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Manage crisis interventions and conduct risk assessments for individuals and families.
• Conduct intakes and complete bio-psychosocial assessments for a wide range of presenting issues.
• Provide treatment through individual, couples, and group therapy and evaluate therapeutic outcomes.
• Present client care recommendations to the inter-disciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Analyze client needs and provide information and advice on accessing appropriate services and resources.
• Facilitate educational activities and group interventions such as pre-deployment briefings and psycho-education sessions.
• Implement new interventions or treatment approaches such as telemedicine and virtual reality therapy.
• Distribute local outreach material such as mental health awareness material to bases and units.
• Create and maintain confidential client reports on treatment services.
