As a business development representative on the team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Sales & Marketing teams at Swoop. You will have a unique opportunity to develop a strong working knowledge of business financing as well as develop important soft skills through collaborating with Swoop team members and external partners on a daily basis.
We are looking for someone who is resourceful, organized and always looking to learn and improve! This role is open to anyone in the Eastern Time zone. This role will support the sales & marketing functions of Swoop Canada and contribute to the growth of Swoop in North America.
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in :
- Prospecting inbound / outbound funding opportunities
- Finding, testing, and executing on new avenues to reach potential clients
- Engaging with Business Owners to identify the right funding solutions to support their growth
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement new projects to engage small businesses (including via Social Media, Content / SEO, Email & Newsletters)
- Supporting the Country Manger with on-boarding new partners
- Assist the wider team in achieving outstanding customer service, deliver outcomes that are both customer centric and commercially viable to help the business achieve its goals. At all times making sure our customers are treated fairly.
- Contributing to the culture of Swoop and maintaining the reputation of the business at all times
About You :
Completed an Undergraduate Degree or a post-graduate degree with 0-2 years’ experience is preferred, but will accept strong new graduatesGenuine relationship-builder who is passionate about helping small businessesYou are results-driven and hold yourself accountable for delivering on growth targetsYou have a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise the delivery tasksExcellent written and verbal communication skillsYou are excited to work in a fast-paced startup environmentYou are eager to expand your knowledge and be a part of the growing Fintech industryWell-developed sense of personal and business integrity, holding yourself and others to high standards Inquisitive in nature and understand the importance of qualifying prospectsConfident and passionate when engaging with customersBenefits :
