Based in Vicuña’s corporate office in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, the Project Controls Manager will develop and implement standardized project control procedures to effectively manage budgets, schedules, and quality across engineering, construction, and other Company projects. This role is responsible for establishing project control guidelines within a business unit or Project Execution Plan and implementing the necessary tools and systems to proactively monitor, control, and report on earned value management, cash flow, costs, revenues, forecasting, and project schedules. The Project Controls Manager will be instrumental in the successful execution of this world-class project, ensuring safe, on-time delivery while maintaining budget integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Establish and oversee project control frameworks, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement standardized methodologies for budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across multiple projects.
- Lead project controls teams, providing strategic guidance to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with corporate policies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, Estimating, Operations, and Finance teams to refine financial forecasting methodologies and project execution strategies.
- Direct scheduling functions to maintain project milestones, and drive on-time completion.
- Conduct in-depth performance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Oversee project change management, including subcontractor claims, change requests, and dispute resolution.
- Drive process improvements and innovation within Project Controls to enhance service excellence.
- Contribute to Risk Mitigation Plan.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, supplemented by additional studies in Project Management.Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in Project Controls within the construction industry.Expertise in SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, scheduling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, estimating, and cost control.Deep understanding of Earned Value Management principles and best practices.Proven leadership and team-building skills with a track record of driving high-performance teams.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to influence and drive decision-making at the executive level.Fluency in Spanish is a strong asset.Initially based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (for the first one to two years), this role will be based in San Juan, Argentina on a Fly-in, Fly-out rotational basis after one to years, timing to be determined based on operational requirements.
