Principal DevOps Developer - AEC Data

Position Overview

Autodesk isseekinga highly motivated, experiencedPrincipalDevOpsDeveloper to join theArchitecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Datateam!In this role, you willbe responsible forDevOps for the servicesthat power the data infrastructure of Autodesk's existing and future AEC products. This opportunity is for you if you have passionfor enterprise level DevOpsdevelopment in an organization committed to excellenceand are excited by the idea of transforming how AEC professionals use data to capture knowledge, inform decisions, and deliver projects.

Responsibilities

Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with developmentteams to ensure smooth and efficient software development and deployment processes

Automation : Develop andmaintainautomation scripts and tools to manage andmonitorinfrastructure, deployments, and other repetitive tasks

Integration : Implement continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery / deployment (CD)pipelinesto streamline the software release process

Infrastructure Management : Set up, configure, andmaintainservers, networking, and cloud resources to support development and production environments

Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Monitor system performance,identifyissues, and troubleshoot problems related to infrastructure, deployments, and applications

Security : Ensure security best practices are followed andmaintainthe security of infrastructure and applications, including managing access controls and protecting sensitive data

Documentation : Create andmaintaindocumentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides

Learning and Improvement : Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the DevOps processes and practices

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science engineeringor related technical fields

8+years ofexperience inaDevOpsrole

Strong programming skillsincludingproficiencyin at least one language (Python, Go, Java) plus shell scripting. Comfortable building internal tooling and automation

Experience defining and building CI / CDpipelinesand working with common CI / CD tools (Jenkins,etc.)

Understanding & curiosity of DevOpsengineeringbest practices, architectures, and methods

Understanding of Cloud Networking concepts

Understanding of Security(IAM, vulnerability management, secrets management, threatmodeling)

Experience withECS / Kubernetesenvironments

Experience with configuration management tools and cloud automation (TerraForm, Ansible)

AWS production experience in large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure.

Excellent problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently

Experience using Docker to build containerized applications.

Experience with observability tools such asDynatrace, Datadog, New Relic

Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, tools, and Agile methodologies
