ISL’s Calgary Community Development Team

Our team of engineers and technologists interface with a wide variety of diverse disciplines : Community Planning, Landscape Architecture, Buildings, Transportation, and Water internally. Externally, the team manages the relationship with independent developers, architects, municipalities and contractors to ensure all stages of development are managed effectively. We are trusted by demonstrating ISL’s values of Integrity, Excellence, Unity and Curiosity in everything we do. We are a team in and out of work and enjoy participating in Calgary’s Corporate Challenge.

More About Us As a Team

• We work with a variety of clients – Our team is made up of approximately 15 professionals where we work with a variety of clients ranging from private developers to municipalities across central and northern Alberta.
• We work on interesting projects – We collaborate across our organization with multidisciplinary professionals that span Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan. Some notable past projects include elementary to middle school builds, leisure centers, fire halls, and The Calgary Zoo.
• We prioritize ongoing development – We have a culture of ongoing learning and actively support each other through mentoring and professional development opportunities. We also leverage and deploy a variety of tech and innovation tools that help us be effective and prioritize sharing knowledge with others as we embrace and learn.

About Our Projects

About The Role

Reporting to our Community Development Manager, you will be part of a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team of engineers and technologists responsible for the delivery of community development and municipal infrastructure projects for our private and public sector clients. In this role, you will be contributing directly to the preparation of drawings, models, and technical deliverables that drive projects forward.
