What You’ll Do :
Ensure compliance with TSSA RegulationsOperate automated or computerized control systems, stationary engines, and auxiliary equipment such as boilers, generators, pumps, compressors, and other equipment to generate electrical power and to provide light, heat, ventilation, and refrigeration for buildings and / or other work sitesMonitor and inspect plant equipment, computer terminals, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, meters, and other instruments to measure temperature, pressure, and fuel flow, to detect leaks or other equipment malfunctions and to ensure plant equipment is operating at maximum efficiencyAnalyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunctionsTroubleshoot and perform corrective action and minor repairs to prevent equipment or system failureClean and lubricate generators, pumps, compressors and perform other routine equipment maintenance duties using appropriate lubricants and hand, power, and precision toolsSite lead on day to day Maintenance requirementsMaintain a daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, write reports on site operationMake recommendations on programs and equipment to improve efficiencyReview and complete work orders and discuss with DC ManagerAssist in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety proceduresPerform other duties and activities that may be assignedWhat You Need to Get the Job Done :
Licensed 4th Class Engineer or alternatively a Refrigeration “B” ticketHelpful but not required – mechanical, millwright and / or welding experience is an assetExperience working in the food industry and working in warehouse environment would be a strong assetProven knowledge in refrigerated warehouse environmentCapable of working with minimal supervisionDemonstrated knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and proper employee hygiene practices to meet company requirementsAbility to work in temperature of -30 degrees Celsius as neededAbility to do heavy lifting may be required, following established safe lifting proceduresShifts may include weekend work as well as variability in shift start / finish timings (days / afternoons) from time to time based on business requirements therefore, flexibility in your schedule is a job requirementWe thank all candidates for their interest in Kawartha Dairy Limited, however, only those selected for interview will be contacted.
