About the Role:

Our client, a reputable family office, is hiring a Financial Controller to oversee full-cycle accounting for a group of investment holding companies. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this leadership role is ideal for a hands-on CPA with investment accounting experience and a talent for team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month/year-end close for multiple entities
• Manage investment accounting and portfolio reporting
• Handle tax compliance: GST/QST, T5s, NR slips, corporate filings
• Lead and coach a team of four accounting professionals
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and banks
• Improve internal controls and optimize processes

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (investment focus required)
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and strategic thinking
