Mold Maker

We at Northfield Metal Products a Division of Leggett & Platt are searching for a Mold Maker to join our Toolroom team to help support our Work Furniture business. As a Mold Maker you will be contributing to our Work Furniture Components business. We design manufacture and distribute a wide range of components and finished products that enhance comfort motion and style in the work and home furniture industry. If you join our team your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As a Mold Maker you will have the opportunity of fabricate assemble troubleshoot and maintain molds used in manufacturing processes. Your contributions will have a direct impact as you will collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure molds function optimally in manufacturing and production environment. The team you will be working with has a long tenure and values collaboration.

So what will you be doing as a Mold Maker

• Set up operate maintain machine tools (e.g. CNC mills grinders lathes drill presses) to shape and assemble mold components
• Interpret and work from technical blueprints CAD models and design specifications to plan mold fabrication
• Disassemble clean inspect and repair existing molds and tooling performing corrective adjustments as needed
• Perform regular quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure molds meet tolerances
• Document fabrication and maintenance activities maintain mold inventories and update repair histories
• Uphold workplace safety and housekeeping standards adhering to health safety and operational procedures
