Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Area Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining contracted assets (roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) per standards and conditions specified in the contract.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Winter Season
- Removal of snow and ice by using snow removal and / or sanding Summer Season
- Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces including signs, guardrails, fence, lighting, potholes, striping, adding or replacing reflectors, litter and debris removal
- Operate vehicles and equipment as required : for surface and right-of-way maintenance and repair; repair / maintenance of slopes, berms, culverts, drains, etc.; to control vegetation appearance and growth.

Create, modify and sign off on traffic control plans as per Book 7Ensure traffic plans are being set up and removed properly as per Book 7Deliver and complete daily Toolbox Talks, Job starts and Job Hazard AnalysisSupervise, inspect and report daily work completed by OperatorsVerify work has been completed properlyEnsure time sheets are accurate and submitted dailyReport all incidents to SupervisorReport all equipment and / or facility damage to supervisorPositively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying andCarry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures as amended from time toOther duties asKnowledge, Skills & Abilities

High School Diploma or equivalentValid DZ (minimum) Driver's License with good driving record (required)Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial / industrial repair, maintenance or landscaping (outdoor work) (Preferred)MTO experience highly preferredHigh level of computer skills, including Excel, Word andSuccessful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, and transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS and job related aspects of Occupational Health...Work Conditions / Physical Demands
Must be able to think clearly and focus on your safety in your immediate surroundings, while using tools and equipment, while driving or operating equipment.
