As we continue to grow, we're seeking a highly organized and analytical Business Operations Manager to join our leadership team.
This role will help streamline processes, improve efficiency, and scale our operations as we expand into new markets.
Position Overview :
As the Associate Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational efficiency across RockMass Technologies.
You will manage key internal processes, lead cross-functional initiatives, and work closely with senior leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
You will oversee various business functions, including finance, HR, sales, marketing, and more, to support our continued growth and innovation.
We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter, pro-active to work alongside the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities :
Internal Management :
- Manage company-wide OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), ensuring accountability and progress tracking
- Identify bottlenecks within the business and establish new processes to address the bottlenecks
- Organize and facilitate recurring management meetings, including company-wide all-hands sessions
- Lead the evaluation, implementation, and management of internal software solutions to streamline processes
- Lead the organization and management of the logistics of industry conferences and events
- Liaise with customers and vendors to manage and track purchase orders and payment schedules
- Liaise with the bookkeeper to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Manage and streamline the reporting and reimbursement processes for grant programs
Market Research and Analysis :
- Conduct market sizing and analysis exercises and general research to support fundraising, product strategy, and business development
- Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making
What We’re Looking For :
- 2-4 years of experience in a business-focused position, some examples may be (but are not limited to) experience in management consulting or working in a Series A+ startup
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to support operational decision-making
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively across departments
- Proactive, decisive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Vancouver-based or willing to relocate
