Position Job Description

  • Own the mechanical portion of projects, managing delivery to cost, quality and schedule requirements
  • Design and draft prototypes and production systems, and manage manufacturing with external suppliers
  • Supervise and participate in the assembly of mechanical, electrical, and optical systems, both in the lab and at client sites
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and assembly personnel
  • Prepare and execute acceptance test procedures for deliverable hardware
  • Produce and maintain part and assembly drawings, bills of material and documentation
  • Position Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly procedures and tools including 3D printers, basic metalworking tools, measuring instruments, etc.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of electrical lab and test equipment and tools such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, cameras, PC’s, power supplies, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering / manufacturing environment
  • Fluent English and French (written and spoken)
  • Driving license and independent form of transport
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Status in Canada allowing to work
  • Able to work at Agmanic Vision’s offices in Anjou two days per week
  • Position Preferred Requirements

  • OIQ membership
  • Knowledge or experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience with optics in photography
  • Experience of managing engineering laboratories and facilities
