The Muslim Food Bank & Community Services Society (MFBCS) is a faith-inspired nonprofit dedicated to eradicating food insecurity and empowering communities through programs like ASPIRE (food support, refugee aid, youth mentorship, and more). Since 2010, we’ve transformed lives with compassion and sustainable solutions. We’re seeking a strategic Grant Manager to secure funding that amplifies our impact across Canada.

Role Snapshot

As our Grant Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our funding pipeline, identifying opportunities and crafting proposals that turn community needs into actionable support. Your work will directly fuel programs that uplift vulnerable families, refugees, and youth.

What You’ll Do

• Grant Strategy: Research and prioritize government, foundation, and corporate funding opportunities aligned with MFBCS’s mission.
• Proposal Development: Write compelling grant applications, tailoring narratives to funder priorities and ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Partnership Coordination: Collaborate with program teams to design budgets, measure outcomes, and gather impact data for reporting.
• Compliance & Relationships: Track deadlines, submit timely reports, and nurture relationships with funders to sustain long-term support.
• Knowledge Leadership: Stay updated on Canadian funding trends, CRA requirements, and best practices in nonprofit grant writing.

What You Bring

Experience:

• 3+ years in grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, or program development, with a proven track record of securing grants.

Skills:

• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills (samples required).
• Strong project management—able to juggle multiple proposals and deadlines.
• Financial literacy to align budgets with program goals.

Knowledge:

• Understanding of Canadian charitable funding (CRA compliance, Imagine Canada standards).
• Familiarity with Muslim-led initiatives and faith-based funding landscapes (preferred).

Bonus Assets:

• Bilingualism (French or other languages).
• Experience with donor management software (e.g., Fluxx, GrantConnect).
