About the Role :
Raise Workforce has partnered with a leader in Material Handling equipment to conduct a shutdown and projects across various heavy industries and mechanical services. This role primarily involves maintenance on a conveyor system. Based on job performance and attitude, there is an opportunity to be regularly called back for future projects. We are looking for experienced Journeyperson Millwrights, Lead Heads, and Apprentices.
Scope of Work :
Maintenance and repair of material handling equipmentTasks may include repairs or replacements of gearboxes, pulleys, sheaves, counterweight sheaves & cables, couplings, motors, impact beds, shaker decks, shaker screens, vibro pans, air cannons, various types of bearing replacements, hydraulic pumps, cylinders & valves, wear liners, including but not limited to ball mills, rod mills, and chutes.Qualifications :
Certification of Qualification Journeyperson Millwright preferred or equivalent experienceRegistered Apprentice with all or some blocks completed; open to all levels with relevant experienceValid Fall Protection (Working At Heights), Elevated Work Platform, WHMIS 2015 requiredConfined Space Entry, or First Aid & CPR considered an assetAbility to read drawings and schematicsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safetyLead by example in promoting a respectful and professional work environmentMust be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and be respirator fit test ready (clean shaven) for when working on customers' sites (depending on site requirements)Valid Driver's LicenseA condition of employment is to willingly participate in pre-employment background checks which could include Criminal Record Check and Drug & Alcohol screening
