Role Description
MBC is going through a process where we are transitioning our customers to align with the Modern Workplace. We are looking for a Infrastructure Specialist that has 5-7 years of experience working in a Managed Services environment with a focus on Implementing Infrastructure Refreshes such as physical and virtual windows servers (on premises and Cloud), network hardware, desktops, office setup / move and new client onboardings. This person must have knowledge of all areas of a client infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Technologies. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, time management skills, and enjoy working with people.
This is a hybrid role is based out of our Richmond Hill office but travel to client sites around the GTA will be required from time to time.
Responsibilities
- Work on the Professional Services Team to complete projects according to our deadlines
- Ensure you implement all tasks that are in scope and request approval for any out-of-scope elements
- Update documentation for all projects for appropriate handoff to the service desk
- Maintain up to date time entries for tasks assigned
- Escalate any issues and risks through MBCs project processes
- Creating and maintaining needed SOPs
- Ensure work aligns with MBCs Security First focus and delivering Delightful IT to our clients
- Help team members with expertise, troubleshooting and training as needed
- Attending client calls for projects
Technical Skills
Understanding of and experience with a Remote Monitoring Platform N-CentralExperience deploying and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server 2008 to 2022Experience supporting clients on Microsoft 365 – all apps (Exchange online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Teams & Teams Voice)Experience managing or supporting Microsoft ExchangeExperience deploying and managing Veeam Backup and Replication, Veeam Backup for M365, Microsoft Azure Recovery Services (MARS), Datto SaaS Cloud BackupExperience deploying and managing Hyper-V and VMWare environmentsExperience deploying and managing Switches, Firewalls and WifiExperience in deploying and managing Microsoft Remote Desktop ServicesExperience in deploying and managing multi-site Microsoft Technologies such as Active Directory, DFS, Hyper-V Replication and Disaster Recovery EnvironmentsExperience in deploying and managing storage devices such as SAN, DAS and NASGood understanding of L3 Routing, L2 VLANs, and VPN technologiesExperience in Private Cloud / Data Center environmentsExperience migrating into the public cloud (Azure, etc)Experience working in Hybrid Cloud Environments, where clients utilize on-premises infrastructure along with Private and Public CloudExperience in setting up / moving offices and new client onboarding is an assetExperience with Salesforce Service Cloud is an asset.Interpersonal Skills
