Position : Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, Nuclear.

Purpose :

We are currently recruiting for a Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, Nuclear. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position & can be based in our Markham or Kincardine office locations.

Responsibilities :

  • Preparation of technical specifications, data sheets for mechanical equipment and piping.
  • Ability to liaise with the supplier in the purchase of equipment.
  • Review shop drawings and attend inspection as required.
  • Perform technical evaluations leading to a recommendation and ultimate purchase of the equipment.
  • Familiar with applicable codes and standards, perform calculations.
  • Prepare project scope of work, planning and support RFQ’s (Requests For Quotation)
  • Work within budget and time constraints.
  • Preparation of Scope of Work Documentation.
  • Follow Worley and client Nuclear quality programs and protocols.

  • Experience in working in nuclear power industries.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Working with other disciplines, understanding engineering sequence, workflow and working with the customer on design reviews.
  • Working knowledge in all the relevant standards (ie. ASME B31.1, ASME Sec 3, N285, N286, N299
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proactive attitude and problem solving skills.
  • Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training :

    Required :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with intermediate level of relevant experience. Nuclear project experience is an asset.
  • Registered with PEO as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
