The positions are classified as a RÉ-04 ($65,362 to $83,229 per annum).

JOB OVERVIEW
As a Conservation Officer, you will patrol and monitor the National Capital Commission (NCC) properties to ensure compliance with the NCC regulations as well as other federal or provincial laws. You will ensure public safety and help by participating in search and rescues, administering first aid and conducting the initial attack on forest firefighting operations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Law Enforcement, in Wildlife protection, in Conservation and Environmental Law Enforcement or in a related field.
EXPERIENCE
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in each of the following criteria :
- Enforcing laws and regulations.
- Managing, monitoring and protecting properties, buildings, lands or natural resources.
- Providing public safety services.
KNOWLEDGE
Of the legal proceedings related to offences.Of the appropriate federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations governing the protection of assets and natural resources.ABILITIES

To walk long distances in a natural environment, sometimes in rugged terrain and in difficult weather conditions.To work in sometimes difficult climatic conditions.To work evenings, weekends, shifts outside of regular working hours and during statutory holidays.To wear a uniform including protective equipment and other operational tools if necessary.Possess a valid certificate for First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.To meet RCMP criteria to obtain Peace Officer Status.To handle extensive patrolling.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
