Director of Property Management

HAYS Recruitment is partnered exclusively with KRP Properties in one of Canada's largest technology hubs, to find their next Director of Property Management.
This is a critical, senior leadership appointment reporting directly to the President. We are looking for someone with a proven track record to drive strategic planning, maximize asset value, and champion the next era of sustainable and technologically advanced property management for KRP’smercial portfolio.
Responsibilities

• Develop and execute high-level strategies to maximize portfolio value, ensuring profitability through rigorous budgeting, financial analysis, and accurate reporting to the President.
• Lead, inspire, and mentor the property management team, fostering a cohesive, high-performance culture aligned with KRP values.
• Guide all facets of property operations, including maintenance, lease execution, tenant satisfaction, and full regulatorypliance.
• Cultivate strong relationships with tenants, investors, and partners to drive retention and new business development.
• Champion the integration of Green Building Practices (LEED/BOMA) and critical technology systems (BAS, metering) to meet aggressive energy reduction and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of progressive senior management experience inmercial real estate.
• Proven expertise in asset leadership, property operations,mercial leasing, construction, and real estate finance.
• Strong working knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), energy systems, and recognized Green Building Practices.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and strong negotiation/leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Yardi and Office 365
