Job Summary :
The Faculty of Applied and Technical Studies invites applications for a Program Technician to join our School of Trades. Under the direction of the Associate Dean or designate, the Program Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to support various trade program areas and faculty. This position is at the Trades & Technology Centre in Chilliwack, BC.

Qualifications :
- Red seal qualification in a related construction trade area.
- Minimum three (3) years related experience working with tools and other equipment, preferably in an educational environment involving contact with the public and some supervisory experience.
- Good general knowledge of tools, equipment and supplies used in current trade programs and be able to perform most maintenance is required.
- Licensed to operate forklift and 3-tonne truck will be required (may be obtained while working in position).
- Knowledge of tools, parts and supplies inventory control and purchasing procedures.
- Experience or training in WHMIS and workplace safety regulations is necessary.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to lift 25 kilograms is required. Must be able to spend a 7-hour shift standing and / or walking.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
- Excellent communication skills and superior time management and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently to multiple deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to problem solve and function effectively in a busy, diversified work environment.
