Schedule : 7 on / 7 off

The Firewater Tech role consist of but not limited to :
Conducting Preventative Maintenance of Fire Hydrants and various Water-Based Fire Protection SystemPerform Corrective Maintenance (repairs) to Water-Based Fire Protection SystemReplace assetsWorking in deep (12-20’) underground installations & repairsWorking in Confined Space, elevated platforms, structures….Working outdoors 100% of the timeWorking with and around equipment such as Telehandler, EWP, loaders, excavators, HydroVacConducting Flow test of assets (energize, de-energize and winterize)Installing contingenciesPrimary Responsibilities :
Maintain great attendance, punctuality and fit for dutyAdhere to company and site rules, procedures and expectationsConduct pre-use inspection of vehicles, tools & equipment as well as upkeep the conditionsComplete Field Level Risk Assessments and all other HSE requirements prior to starting tasks.Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of systemReport to Supervisor on shiftMeasure, cut and install pipes using tools & equipmentTest pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gaugesAssemble and install valves (2” to 24”) and components.Education & Experience Required :
Dual Ticketed Journeyman Plumber; Candidates must possess both a Journeyman Plumber Ticket and an additional related Journeyman Ticket.Some Water-Based Fire Protection System experience preferred and previous oil sand industry experience would be a benefitValid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseClean 5 Year Driver's Abstract Obtained within 30 days of Start DateCSO (Common Safety Orientation) or equivalent safety ticketWHMIS 2015Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilitiesMust be well organized and detail-oriented, are able to follow instructions and clear orders, enjoy working with a range of different people each day, and have strong mechanical skills.Physical stamina required to use proper lifting techniques and execute tasks.Must be able to stand, crouch and kneel for extended periods of time, sometimes work in cramped positionsMust have a safety conscious attitudeAbility to work well with co-workers and deal with clientsAbility to get along well with others on a work teamAll applicants must have the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English.Must be clean shavenApplication Instructions :
