About You / What We Are Looking For
We are currently seeking a Visual Communications Supervisor for our Communications and Civic Engagement Division. Reporting to the Manager of Civic Engagement, the Visual Communications Supervisor plays a key role in the City’s brand and graphic design standards for both print and digital materials, as well as supporting the City’s website strategy and related online services.
Supervising a small team of technical professionals engaged in graphic design, website management and print production, this position also provides strategic and technical advice in support of corporate branding, digital communications and print production activities.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communications skills as well as strong interpersonal and customer service skills and proven experience in managing a corporate website and / or production services. These skills should be supported by strong technical knowledge and a demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, while exercising sound judgment. Your capacity to collaborate and help bring corporate initiatives to life visually across a wide range of City projects is essential to success in this role.
Along with a degree or diploma in communications, marketing or public relations, preferred candidates will have related technical training in web and graphic design or print production, along with considerable experience in corporate communications and website management.

What We Offer :
This CUPE position has an hourly rate range of $47.67 - $56.34 (2025 rates). The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
