The Coordinator, Health and Safety, supports sites and regional offices by ensuring compliance with corporate and industrial health and safety frameworks, and ensures that staff follow established health and safety policies and procedures. The incumbent promotes and coordinates health and safety efforts with multiple stakeholders (e.g. construction coordinators), audits contractor health and safety plans, and investigates health and safety incidents.

- Act as a site resource on health and safety policy and legislation

- Update contract documents to include appropriate safety requirements
- Review contractor safety submissions
- Conduct safety inspections of project sites and complete monitoring documentation
- Collaborate and share best practices
- Prepare, coordinate and chair monthly staff safety meetings
- Support corporate health and safety requirements
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and / or stakeholders
