We are seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer (E3 or equivalent) to join our Fraser Valley (Abbotsford) team. This is a key technical role with opportunities to shape project delivery, strengthen client relationships, and mentor the next generation of engineers and technicians.

What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the Kontur’s Senior Reviewer’s, Principals, Project Managers, and junior staff on a variety of projects including :
- First Nations infrastructure and housing
- Municipal infrastructure and emergency response
- Land development and commercial / industrial projects
- Assist Project Managers and Engineers-of-record with preparing proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and coordinate field and technical staff.
- Assist Project Managers and Engineers-of-record with managing project schedules, budgets, and coordinating project staff.
- Complete, check, and review geotechnical analyses to support slope stability assessment, seismic assessment, foundation design, retaining structure design, shoring design, dike upgrade design and pavement design.
- Develop practical, sound geotechnical recommendations and assist the Project Managers and Engineers-of-record with preparing detailed engineering reports.
- Complete and check field reviews and construction monitoring across varied project types
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil Engineering.5 to 8 years of geotechnical engineering experience.Registered Professional Engineer ( P.Eng. ) with Engineers and Geoscientists BCStrong technical knowledge in geotechnical analysis and design (seismic, soil and slope stability, foundations, retaining walls, shoring, dikes and pavements).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.Proven organizational and time‑management abilities in a fast‑paced consulting environment.At least 2 years of local experience in residential, commercial, municipal, or industrial sectors.Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s licence and regular access to a reliable vehicle (vehicle and mileage allowance provided).Willingness to undertake a mix of field and office work and work extended / irregular hours as necessary.Proficiency with productivity software and geotechnical engineering software (e.g., Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, gINT, RocScience, Shake2000, Plaxis, etc.).A positive, confident, and collaborative mindset with a dedication to learning and professional growth.Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.Why Join Kontur?
