Sales & Use Tax
- Prepare sales & use tax returns and ensure accurate, timely state filings.
Personal Property Tax
Prepare personal property tax returns for customer leases and Pattison ID and coordinate with relevant jurisdictions.Manage personal property tax assessments, including reviewing assessments, inputting data into tax software, reconciling values, and coordinating with taxing authorities.Handle the payment of tax bills, ensuring deadlines are met and proper documentation is maintained.Maintain accurate documentation and workpapers for all tax filings.Assist with tax notices, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.Tax Accounting & Reporting
Perform month-end accounting functions related to tax, including reconciliations, journal entries, and data preparation for year-end reporting.Run monthly lease tax exposure reports and analyze results for accuracy and completeness.Process Improvement & Administration
Identify and recommend process improvements that streamline workflows and reduce overall workload.Research federal, state, and local tax issues.Offer advice on tax compliance requirements and tax-efficient decision-making.Collaboration & Relationship Management
Collaborate with finance, legal, sales and leasing departments.Build and maintain strong relationships while providing ongoing support.Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
