Job Profile Description
- Supervises employees as direct reports.
- Oversees assigning, directing and evaluating work; conducting performance evaluations, progressive counseling and career development discussions.
- Provides critical input in to hiring, discipline and termination decisions as well as salary and bonus actions.
- Establishes a consolidated current state of the art view of key data assets and related processes; drive the definition and implementation of a data management vision and strategy to include the development of data architecture to maximize the usefulness, availability and accuracy of data.
- Provides technical leadership for data modeling, management, integration, warehousing, business intelligence, storage and other areas related to key strategic projects.
- Works with domain architects and solutions delivery teams to identify and support cross-business and cross-region opportunities for reuse, collaboration and standardization to meet business needs.
- Controls and monitors user access to the database; monitoring database usage and optimizing database performance; monitoring system alerts and errors and acting accordingly; controlling and monitoring user access to the database; performing application tuning and performance monitoring; and peer review of database activities initiated by others.
- Works as part of a team which provides support 24 / 7 to global users.
- Modifies database structures using database administration tools and programming as needed.
- Troubleshoots database issues to keep existing databases running efficiently.
- Troubleshoots a wide range of issues including server availability and coding issues for database configurations
