Hours : 2–3 hours per day, Monday–Friday (typically 2 : 30–5 : 30 pm; exact hours confirmed with successful candidate)

Hourly Wage : $23.50 / hour

Richmond Jewish Day School (RJDS) is a warm, inclusive Pre-K–Grade 7 independent school in Richmond, BC. Our After School Care program supports children with a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment at the end of the school day.
Position Summary
RJDS is seeking a temporary After School Care Program Leader to support our After School Care program from March 10–27, 2026. The successful candidate will provide attentive supervision, lead age-appropriate activities, and help create a positive, structured, and fun environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children (primarily ages 5–12) during After School Care hours.
- Lead and facilitate engaging activities (games, outdoor play, art, quiet activities, homework / reading time).
- Support positive behaviour through clear expectations and relationship-based guidance.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment indoors and outdoors.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with families and RJDS staff.
- Follow RJDS policies and routines (attendance, sign-out procedures, safety protocols).
- Assist with set-up / clean-up of the space and materials as needed.
Qualifications (Required)
Experience working with school-aged children (childcare, education, recreation, camps, etc.).Criminal Record Check (or willingness to complete immediately).Emergency First Aid + CPR (or willingness to obtain quickly; Childcare First Aid preferred).Strong communication skills and an ability to work calmly and independently.Reliable, punctual, and confident supervising groups of children.Assets (Nice to Have)
Responsible Adult Training / ECE coursework or certification.Experience in a school-based after school program.Knowledge of play-based or emergent activity planning.Experience supporting diverse learners and inclusive programming.How to Apply
