Our higher-education client is seeking a Junior Network Analyst to support a large and complex Core Enterprise Data Network.
Scope : This network is highly virtualized and one of the largest in North America with multiple core hub sites, data centers, routers, DNS servers, firewalls, etc.
Our client has over , hardwired data ports, 2, network switches, IT Communication Rooms, 6 major IT Hub Sites, km of underground interlinking fiber optic data cabling, 10, wireless access points, 90, concurrent connected wireless devices, 2, Virtual Local Area Networks, and 1, campus Virtual Routers.
All of this spans academic buildings, multiple campus locations, BC Teaching Hospitals, and other satellite sites across the Province.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity. Hybrid model 1-2 days a week on-site at Point Grey campus. Salary ranges from $75,K - $78,K annually.
Must Have Skills :
- 3 years of previous experience with Routing and Switching : BGP, BGP / MPLS, policy routing, redistribution, multicast; IPv4 and IPv6
- Previous experience with Network Security : various firewall technologies, AAA, ACLs, device hardening, IDS / IPS, port scanning, vACLs, best practices
- Experience working with Data Centre : network technologies
- Cisco certifications, an asset.
